Create a file named progression.xml with the following. The number you put for the @value is added to 1, so if you want 3 active turrets you would set that to 2.
There's a bit more to it if you wanted to create it as a mod. With the instructions mentioned above, you can simply edit the games 'Progression.XML' file. That is located in the game install folder nested down under \7d2d\Data\Config\
Note* If you simply edit the Progression.xml, look for the lines same as above and alter it accordingly. If you want to create it as a modlet... research that to understand what files need to accompany it and drop it into the users \7d2d\mods folder.
Find the line (should be line 2993)
<passive_effect name="JunkTurretActiveCount" operation="base_set" value="0"/>
and change that 0 to a 1 to have 2 active turrets, or 2 for 3 etc. Use a text editor.
That's the easiest way to change it, but any game update will reset it and you'll have to edit the file again. If you do want to go the mod route I'll post my mod below. In the Mods folder create a new folder. You can choose your own name but I call it z7_BetterTurrets.
Inside that folder create a text file named ModInfo.xml and copy/paste in the following (you can edit any of the quoted bits but keep the format)
Also in the z7_BetterTurrets folder, create a new folder named Config and inside that folder create a new text file named progression.xml, then copy/paste in the following
If you want more than 2 active turrets, you would change that "1" as mentioned above. I also increase the active range a bit in my mod. You can delete those lines.
By share do you mean in multiplayer or a co-op game? Yes, that should work. In MP you would add the mod to the server and then it would be available for everyone. I've never done co-op but as far as I know if the host has the mod then it should be shared to everyone. Editing the game progression.xml would not work, it needs to be the mod.
