I have 300+ hours in 7DtD and it is 100% playing with my daughter. I always host and then invite her in, Lately, whenever she comes into the game she can’t open anything, place anything or use anything in our base until we exit and restart the game 1-3 times. Once I was able to correct it by just removing her as an ally and re-adding her but usually we have to close out the game. She’s set as my ally/teammate.

Is there a way to fix it?
