Jews are typically White... unless they have more Persian blood line in their heritage. But, what makes a 'Jew' look like a 'Jew" in the first place? Why, cuz they may have sort of curly dark hair? Or, a slightly longer than average nose? I mean, that's not always true either. Lots of 'Jewish' descent people look very average and lots of none Jewish descent also have those same features. Ya can't judge a book by it's cover. Especially now days when most the world has been inter-breeding among many of the races. Heck, a LOT of us are 'Heinz 57' sauce when it comes to bloodline. I myself am mostly German with 'Heinz 57' for my other half of the bloodline. Some Jewish yet, I look like a typical 'White" guy.
what i am getting at here is just because you see white as frankly i am guessing here a irish red head that skin looks whiter than parchment paper. doesn't mean the character creator is wrong necessarily. because of genetic or environmental issues can change what WhITe is exactly.
I would like the Ark character creator. It used to be more like that.
Sure, there are some people with skin dark enough to be reasonably called black and there are some people with skin pale enough to reasonably be called white. But that's not the case for the vast majority of people. It's just silly. If aliens came here and listened to this modern(*) "race" nonsense, they'd be saying "WTF are you talking about, it's obviously not true."
* It's maybe 500 years old. So modern in the context of history.
He is trolling. He is flamebaiting. He is trying to start a left vs right fight about race and skin colour.
This thread has stayed open, because in principle, people should be allowed to discuss and critique the things that are in the game. However, all forum rules are still in effect. That includes, for instance, the rule against discussing politics & religion, and the rule against derogatory remarks against a person's race.
I share your appreciation for users making earnest, civil responses.
I assume this is likely due to the old character models not being all that compatible with the new clothing system. But that said, the limited options and overall limited customizability with the few options we have has been pretty disappointing.
