I have the same issue. What fixes did you find in case they work for me?

couldnt figure it out, had to use controller and run from big picture mode as workaround

Do you have touchscreen control by any chance? I had that issue on my laptop, touchscreen and trackpad use. A click got it out though.

Thanks for the suggestion, hopefully it will help another. I unfortunately do not have a touchscreen. Never figured it out, also have the issue with Wild Eight, but that too works if i use a controller. Some have suggested for that game it may be my mouse. Not sure if it is, have not tried a different mouse. I have a standard Microsoft Mouse 4000. -Thanks again.

I just solved this issue. Turns out my sim pedals via usb were the cause, even though they were powered off they were still controlling a few indie games. Make sure you have every input possible unplugged.
