Stop SteamVR from auto-launching, interfering with Virtual Desktop

I use diff. apps to run diff. games. But SteamVR keeps launching itself... even when STEAM is not even open, not being used, and game is not in Steam. It opens up them interferes with any other VR app I have to run a game. All the stuff online talks about settings that don't exist.

Seems like you're using SteamVR as a runtime, which needs SteamVR to be opened
Try open composite if you can't switch from SteamVR OpenXR

What is open composite? Somebody else suggested that each game or app is design for a specific run time. And it can only work with that one. That may be why it's launching too.
