Wrecking ball machine worth hiring?
$600 is no small amount in the early game. You'd have to sell 24 bags of scrap at $25 just to cover it, and even with the largest truck it would pretty much block you from fitting anymore furniture or appliances inside once you load the bags in. Even if the contract+bonus is more than enough to cover it, your profit is still going to be very little.

My general rule of thumb, if you're making less than, 1-1.5k on the job, then it's not worth it. Even then, once you know how the house comes down, you can demolish it pretty darn quick. That 600 bucks adds up quick!

I agree that it's generally not worth hiring. Brick walls? Hammer out the bottom row of each section. Plank and filler walls? Hammer out the end planks of each section. And the walls come tumbling down. It's not very much slower than using the wrecking ball machine, particularly since you'll spend more time gathering and storing the bags of rubble than demolishing the house.

I usually only rent it when I was lazy and the contract is close to expiring or just because its fun to roll out every once and a while.
