After 20 hours I am cured of the game
And all because of a single design decision: the forced slow movement when carrying various items.
The game is a grind game in which you only do three things: dismantle, destroy, and manage the storage.
But as soon as you expand the storage, managing it becomes an absolute nightmare due to the slow movement, which simply makes the game's grind unnecessarily boring.

For me, there are three ways to deal with this:
a) simply remove the slow movement - it simply adds absolutely no meaningful value to the game.
b) an option in the game settings where players can simply turn off this "feature," just like simplified dismantling.
c) If it absolutely has to be in the game - for whatever reason - then at least make better sneakers available as a purchasable tool that can completely negate this slowing effect.

But for me, and as long as this effect remains in the game, I'm completely out.

it is in the game to slow player progression so that contracts are not run thru and then players have nothing left to do.. then players complain that the game is too short ...

and is an actual real life mechanic.. if you carry something 10 pounds.. you walk pretty quick.. carry something 50 pounds.. you walk slower ,

but I do agree it could have an on/off option in the settings

Since there are already ways to work around this problem in game (the classic is to set the item down as far away as possible in the direction of travel, run past it, pick it up from as far away as possible, spin around & repeat--but if you have a truck full of a particular type of item you can fairly easily 'edit' the warehouse to temporarily move the needed shelves next to the loading/unloading location) I am also in favor of adding either an upgrade path or a toggle to reduce and/or remove the slow-down.

Having played hundreds of hours of Death Stranding 1&2, and being aware that they're already in use in RL warehouses for this exact purpose, I'd recommend an exoskeleton rather than magical sneakers. Maybe at Tier 1 you start with a simple back brace / lifting belt with the current speeds & limits, and then it's a new tool upgrade which gradually decreases the impact of heavier items on your movement.

My headcanon is that we already wear some kind of armored exoskeleton connected to our hardhat to protect us from spinal injury & general crushing forces when we drop a house on our own heads.

Because nn also change the trucks you have to create a bigger one to load things

One solution would be some form of hand cart (which people have used for thousands of years for moving stuff more easily) but I do like this idea and reasoning and it would be easier for the devs to implement:

you have 4 contracts per day, at best i was able to get through 2 contracts in that day, you will never run out or be able to go through all 4 contracts, especially when most are to destroy the house, that takes pretty much the entire day up.

I can't dismantle (not destroy) completely an entire house in the period of a day...there's no way, not enough time.

its easy, all you need to is go round the inside, smash the bottom walls down and move along, each wall will collapse when the section is done, then go outside and do teh same thing, then just clear the rubble, put what you can in bags and truck. bag up the rest and just dump the full bags on ground, then go home hand in jobs good
may get 2 done but not 3 let along 4.

The person you're replying to explicitly stated "dismantle (not destroy)", so your reply about the most efficient way to destroy the entire house is misplaced.

Best thing is to not expand the warehouse at all, when it is full, fulfil the orders that you can for that day and end the day so that it refreshes the orders, since the number of days doesnt matter just repeat until your warehouse stock has gone down and then take out new contracts again
carnevale1970 10 月 11 日 上午 10:32
Instead it should be expanded much more the warehouse I have nothing le

why do you need more space?

To put the stuff in it

dang man I was just thinking about the slow movement, like what does it serve other than artificially slow down the game? Sure i'd move slower solo carrying a couch, but this is a freaking game, like let me move it at the same speed...
