game progress?

so i was looking at reviews and recommendations and this game came up, looks like something i might enjoy. But i'm hesitant about the early access. i played everspace 2 in early access and really enjoyed the game but i had played it several times during the development phase and so when the game finally launched i felt i had already played it and only ended up completing it once.

So for this game: are the devs working quickly and consistently? is it basically done? or is this going to be a situation where they're making patches every 6 months for small things and promising it'll be done when StarCitizen gets out of alpha?

the game went into Early Access on Aug 13, we are going into Season 1 "Launch" late Oct, in that update we are getting a new dungeon and 2 new characters and a bunch of new gear

if we count the Alphas and Betas of previous years, the Devs are working at a decent pace considering the things they added and "changed" (base roster was 6 characters, in Oct it will be 11), the map pool is low tho, we currently only have 2 (3 if you count variants) and we don't yet know if the new map will also have variants

Well, unlike the game you mentioned, this is a multiplayer live service game with both PvE and PvP (though with the current player count, it's more of the former) so new content will be constantly added. Early Access is scheduled to end this month.
