I am getting very good at making attack Drones and I am better in-game at finding the working solution faster.
-> How to save a world in your Workshop and paste the link here :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Publish" button on the left.
3 - Choose a proper Tag, check Steam upload and click the OK button.
4 - Your world will be uploaded to Steam Workshop.
5 - Paste the Workshop item link here (copy URL).
Here is the link, https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3568188896 Im not sure how spawning works in this cause I've never done it before, but I included a beacon set to max range and a medical room named Spawn Here!!!! if that helps.
On the drones control panel, I have a timer block named "launch" Start that to launch the drone, and I also have a timer named "Flee and Return", start that one to have it return to the big ship. Also you can use the first button of the first hotbar of that control seat in the drone bay to launch it, or the first slot of the second hotbar to make it return. After launching it will default to attacking, and it will stop once you hit the return button.
Also I left the drone with its top off so you can access all the AI blocks physically, and I left a little Pirates station I made that you can test with. Thank you for your help!
I never keep the "Not working setups" I find. I delete all and Redo a bit different till all good.
= Must create a waypoint at a few meters of the connector, setup to Drone to do there first and enable AI Offensive from that waypoint setup action.
Testing Details :
1 - I turned OFF all your block and place one new AI Flight + Ai Offensive + AI Recorder.
2 - Added 2 new connectors so one on Mothershp and one on the Drone.
3 - Added a new Beacon on the Mothership.
4 - Created one waypoint a few meters above the connector.
5 - The Drone when to waypoint wihtout changing its orientation.

Conclusion, so far :
-> Need an "Exit Waypoint" a few meters above the Mothership connector so it can keep its orientation on exiting the Hangar.
______
Note
I also noticed the Drone "Grid Pivot" was bad so I pasted your Drone on a Projector properly oriented so Green is UP, Red is RIGHT and Blue is the FRONT :
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3568263265
Doing so gave the same orientation as the Waypoint :

2 - Create a new grid by placing the Projector block (Block #1) floating in space.
3 - Paste the Blueprint of your ship/grid away from the projector.
4 - Aim at the "Reference block" (Block #2) on your ship, so a block in center under it, or on the side or front or back, and hit Ctrl+C to have the copy in hand.
-> Reference block is the block that will merge on the projector so the Block #2.
5 - Aim at the projector you previously placed and paste the copy you have in hand on it.
=
Now you have a new grid where the "Block #1" is the projector.
+
You will have to rename because doing so creates a new grid.
It's better when I create an "Exit Vector" of at least 2 Waypoints so the first one on connector position and a second one a few meters above.
-> The Drone keep its orientation this way :
#1 on connector
+
#2 above

EDIT
And enable Ai Offensive on Waypoint #2
Details :
1 - I have created an "Exit Vector" with Ai Recorder block #1 place in center of its connector
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3568884708 https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3568882423
2 - Created an horizontal Approach Vector of 3 Waypoints with second Ai Recorder block
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3568881678
3 - Needed more Backward thrusters to avoid crashing on the Mothership connector so I have added more power in same time (reactors for this test)

4 - It stopped without crashing
