Mission Four / 4: Missing Dialogue and Cutscenes
So I was a big fan of the original Homeworld back when I was a kid. And I remember it fairly well. Something felt off about the interaction with the Bentusi in mission 4.

So I noticed that there is dialogue missing. Before they hyper-spaced off, either after you'd accepted their deal or time was up, they'd warn you about the Turanic raiders (this would also allow you to quickly accept their trade). Now they just hyperspace without saying anything (and in my game at least) the game zooms out to sensor manager and then straight back in (as if there was gonna be a cutscene) with a new objective saying to defend against the Turanic raiders.

The lack of this dialogue/cutscene cuts out a lot of the contextual info of the original and makes the Bentusi far less benevolent and helpful. They just zip in, trade, zip out, barely saying anything.

Is this a bug or just a bizarre design choice?

Oh man, why did they muck around with original game code so much? They were suppose to be preserving it.

Same thing happened to me.
The cutscene played for me, but all I heard was the engine sound from the small ship.
I thought it was really weird how nothing was being explained, and how the cutscene was just looking blankly at this random enemy vessel for 10 - 20 seconds, and then suddenly my small ship returns.

I only realised there was a problem when a friend later shared some lore with me about the traders.
I checked someone playing the same mission on Youtube and was able to see how the cutscene was supposed to sound like.

By the way, I necro'd this thread since it's the first result in Google.
