Removing a trait, that gives some levels in a discipline, f.i. Imaginative*, will reset those the discipline and levels.
In my case Enobled Parchment Maker with level 6 in Livestock was, after removing the Imaginative trait reset as unemployed with level 5 in Discovery.

*Starts with 5 levels in discovery etc.
