same happened to me, but the game auto saves every turn so it really didn't matter

I have the same problem, but I do not know where to tell about it than here.

See the out-of-memory thread - 99% sure that is the one you are talking about.

The game autosaves so it was no hardship for me but when the crash occured I got a message asking me to compile certain files and send to them so they can research the problem. I have all the files they asked for but I am just not certain where to send it and an open forum is not the place I will send it.

In-game error info should be better soon, sorry for the confusion.
