I think their new game didn't sell as well as they hoped, so they are maybe making BattleBlock Theater Remastered to sell as a new game rather than just a free update.

A fresh release (free to existing owners) would help revive game sales a lot more than a simple update to an old game.

Make zero sense. If they need more sales, why would they give a free copy to anyone who already owns it?

Also a remaster of a simple game? It'll be the same game with 144fps? How do you remaster a plataform cartoon game? Also, this game is VERY niche, they would barely sell it to anyone who already owns it.

If they need money, it makes more sense to do a brand new game, or a new batlleblock.

the game works fine on modern pc's. not sure why they'd need to do that.
