OK so i figured it out. when i initially installed and started LOS it would run and then stop and nothing popped on screen. what i did was when on my steam page in
Steam/Settings/Cloud/ and clicked enable cloud saves. started the game with the cloud on. immediately exited the game and disable cloud saves. tried again and the game ran perfectly after that.
with the New Game you need to go in your File Folder on your PC and locate
C: / Program Files (86) / Steam / userdata / 85589217. in this folder locate the folder 234080 and delete it. this is your cloud save folder. deleting it will reset your game as if its new. there may also be a file in your local files on LOS with the same number 234080 located in there as well delete that too and you have a fresh game.
