I'm okay using keyboards and mouse, but I had to get used to it - I prefer like that, since I don't like controls. My advice: use the mouse for attacks, and the keyboard for the rest. That's enough. Don't try and move the mouse because the game has its own camera, you can't control it.

I bought controller a very lond ago for dark souls but was not ale to use efficiently. I am using controller for Castlevania & I am quite efficient with controller now. First few hours were tough. But thanks for reply everybody.

I'm using keyboard and it is ok. First I was looking what i need to push when prompted by game but it is fine now. If you are playing on keyboard game have bug that will prevent you to continue. You will encounted puzzle where you will have to dash diagonal. Ther is keys conflict so remap block key I to something diferent otherwise you will be stuck forever.

It's works ok, up until the boss where you have to fling the rocks back. Trying to do this part on a keyboard is just one giant pile of frustration.

@phoenixf, i totally agree with u man, the game was fun until i reached that stage.

Is that so? There is another battle ahead with same throwing things. Although I have learned to use controller it was difficult. Timing it perfectly then grab & instantly I had to throw.

Oh it has keyboard controls, just there's about 10 million years input lag so you press forwards and a minute later you move (if you haven't been killed already). I've found no fixes online, it's pretty stupid and makes the game unplayable. Good thing I got this game 80% off otherwise I'd ask for my money back.

Pretty much, but I refuse to stoop down to the level of you puny game pad users :P

I prefer playing games with K+M, but since I'm used to playing this game on the PS4, I just used my 360 controller. For those that manage to play this with K+M, I commend you; it can't be easy.

Anyone having issues with buying a controller for games like this? I recomend either buying a 360 wireless controller with the wireless dongle or save yourself some time and get the Xbox One controller with it's wireless dongle that comes with it. It acts like a wifi device but it's blutooth instead. If you're use to using PS2, PS3, PS4 controllers then no worries they basically work the same way. Just the way the controller is shaped is different. Happy trails for everyone that likes to complain XD. That last part was a joke. I don't wish anyone happy trails at all. :p

it has both keyboard and mouse controls, at least in the ultimate edition, at the menu can go to configuration settings and remap controls, and while ingame open the journal book for settings
