That being said, what horrible clipping are we talking about? I can't say I fnoticed any clipping besides some obvious hairs poking through the axe's blade.
What's wrong with the blades? I really like them. I like the axe a bit more, but the blades are really fun in the right situation.
Because the axe and especially the spear are vastly superior.

Let's lead you by the hand, hon: You get two weapons at the start of the game and I put down the Blades of Chaos. Now, given there's TWO weapons and I put down one of them, what would you logically deduce is the weapon I'd suggest?

You clearly never tried out the spear. So OP. From tossing exploding spears to absorbing Bifrost in bossfights for sick damage. Blades take too long with their long-winded combos to get anything done, especially on bosses.
