Suggestion: Global World & Country System Inspired by TheoTown (Multiplayer Idea)
Hello YesBox Studios team,

First of all, I really love what you’ve done with Metropolis 1998.
The atmosphere, pixel art style, and depth of city-building already make it stand out from other games in the genre. You’ve perfectly captured that retro vibe while keeping the modern city-building spirit alive.

I wanted to share an idea — inspired by TheoTown.
That game features a shared world map where players can place their cities, form countries, trade, and participate in community events.

I think a similar system would fit Metropolis 1998 beautifully:

🌍 Global World System: Players could place their cities on a shared global map and see others’ progress either in real time or asynchronously.
🏳️ Nation System: Players could create countries, form alliances, collaborate on projects, or compete for influence.
🔁 Economy & Interaction: Inter-city trade, resource exchange, or infrastructure sharing could add strategic depth and community engagement.

This doesn’t have to be fully real-time — even an asynchronous or “shared world” approach could make Metropolis 1998 feel more alive and socially connected.

Additionally, in the future, elements like light RPG mechanics, customizable families or citizens, and thematic events (zombie outbreaks, alien invasions, wars, etc.) could turn this pixel world into a living, story-generating universe — more than just a city builder.
Such layers of customization and dynamic events could make Metropolis 1998 truly unique and unforgettable among simulation games.

Thank you for reading, and I wish you success with the game’s development — I’m really looking forward to seeing how it evolves!
