I really can't share you an opinion about how does it runs on Steam Deck, but I played this on Linux on a basic laptop (that almost is similar to SteamOS), At least for me the game runs perfectly without any issues, even the gamepad works for me.

It'll run just fine. Although you'll definitely want to use Steam Input to get full use out of the controller. Gyro and all that.
