Source Engine Low FPS(BAD PERFORMANCE)

I have problems with all Source Engine titles(CS Source, Half-Life 2, Episone One, Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal) performance.

System
OS: Fedora 18 64-bit(x86_64) with Linux Kernel 3.9.2
Driver version: 319.17(nVidia)
OpenGL version: 3.3.0 NVIDIA 319.17

CS Source/Half-Life 2/Episode One/Portal
On Linux: 15~30FPS(no AA and Medium settings)
On Windows: 50~60FPS(8x MSAA and Very High settings)

Team Fortress 2/Episode Two
On Linux: 10~15FPS(no AA and Medium settings)
On Windows: 40~50FPS(8x MSAA and Very High settings)

Hardware
AMD Athlon X2 6000+
GeForce 8600GT
4GB DDR2 1066

Why I have a bad performance in linux?

Do you use the opensource or the proprietary nvidia driver?

Hmmm.
My first bet would have been that you're running the opensource drivers. Are you sure the nvidia one is loaded? I remember that when I installed the closed source one, I had the problem that it was installed, but not loaded. I think that was back when I still used Fedora too. Not sure though.
Can you open the nvidia-settings application? Other than that I have no idea.
You could copy&paste the System-Information that Steam provides under the "Help" Tab here, since they're more detailled than what you provided. Might help someone else.
