Oh boy... here we go again...

Hello, everybody. Remember that famous post about how the Crimewave Edition hasn't had an update for 400 days? Well, our boys over there finally got their stream of updates, even if with absurdly long waiting times. However for the Switch it marks the 618th day since the release of Payday 2. No update, patch or fix has been released for the game since then and no statement it's coming eventually either.

The situation is even worse than back then for the Crimewave Edition. We're being given no info on whether or not the game is going to be updated. Overkill remains completely silent about it. No little patches with masks as rewards for waiting, no reassurance about how it's gonna come "sometime", nothing...

If you however choose to play on the Switch you'll soon learn it's a time machine back to summer of 2016, when the game has just received the Biker DLCs but with the Joy DLC added onto it.

The netcode is also extremely unstable and guests lag several seconds behind the host. However, guests aren't the only ones affected by it. If God forbid as a host you lose your internet connection for a moment your entire contract gets terminated. Never on PC has it been a really important question if I want to play Crime.net online or offline. I know it has to do with Nintendo's restrictive online system but it could have been done better on the game's end too.

We're also missing continental coins. At infamy XVIII I still haven't received a single shotgun suppressor or China Puff mod or universal team/concealment boost. Our only ways to get mods is card grind and offshore payday. The optimization is really lazy, as sometimes bags behind walls will not have their outlines visible anymore and sometimes guards will just pop up in your view a fraction of a second after they should have been visible to you.

Not to mention - no voice chat or any other way of communication. Not surprising at this point but still very disappointing.

It would be very nice if we got a couple people supporting us and maybe convinced Overkill to finally speak out. Even if all they're gonna say is "we will not update the Switch" at least the situation is gonna become much clearer and we'll know to not support them again.
