Really? I thought SA2 was one of the best sonics (but not as good as sonic 2).

It's not that good. Only great if you're really a Sonic fan. Wouldn't reccomend for starting the franchise. And there's better Sonic games

well thats your opinion so i hope you dont mean to bash on their opinions
in my opinion this game was amazing! my favourite sonic game

Seeing as this was the last first title exclusive on the last first party system whose fate was already sealed by that point there was a big sense of finality and sincerity in its presentation which has never had any reason to be recaptured since. It actually did feel like the natural end conclusion of a saga loosely connected between a bunch of games / consoles over a ten year period, and you got the sense that the developers went all out on the stakes since they had to treat it as if it was the 'swan song' product of the franchise because it very well might have been with the future of the head company so uncertain at the time.

Of course less than a year later this gets rereleased on the gamecube, third party sequels or ports to every other console / PC for the foreseeable future and that was the end of that. Nintendowinslol

When people think of Sonic, they think of the genesis games and adventure 2.

I also think of Adventure 1, Heroes, Advance 1-3, Rush, Riders, Unleashed, Generations, Transformed, Mania and Frontiers. :SonicManiaItemBox:
