I've never tried to play this game with others, but according to the store page, it supports remote play (you can follow the links there to read the details). But, like I said, I've never actually tried it. Maybe someone that has will reply with their experience.

Using the remote play feature you certainly can as long as your network connection isn’t crappy. You’re basically streaming the game to a friend so makes sense. To do that I’m pretty sure you just send them an invite via steam chat

I myself haven’t done it for this game specifically but I’ve played lego star wars with a friend via remote play, since they’re made by the same company it should work.

Make sure to enable access to the keyboard so they can play along in the remote play settings, and be sure to check/change the binds so that neither of you accidentally control each other’s characters, or that the binds are set in a way that’s easy for the both of you to play with.
