According to the manual (there's a link to it on the store page), the game only supports an Xbox 360 controller. There are programs that will supposedly let you use a different controller as if it was an Xbox 360 controller. I've never used them, but the one that I've seen mentioned most is x360ce. I think there are one or more others. A web search for something like "xbox 360 controller emulator" (without the quotes) should get you started.

To me it seemed that it doesn't work with PS3 controller, but the only problem was that setting it is somewhat counter-intuitive.
I didn't realize that in options you have to manually use keyboard, arrows for up and down, and Enter for select. Until you do it and set each button on controller, it won't respond at all so it will look like game doesn't recognize it.

you can I did just today without doing any tinkering you just have to set it up through steam

I used a program called DS4 Windows and then it registered it as a xbox controller so it worked.

If the game starts and you can only use the keyboard, go to the settings and change the device, when you have clicked on this option, click any button on your controller, the game should change the device at that time and that's it.
I use a DualShock 2.

Ive been trying to use my ps5 controller and the problem with it not setting my inputs are happening, ive tried using Ds4 and another program and it still has not worked. Idk whats the problem.

In one of the old posts, someone said that they got their controller (they didn't say which type) to work by setting it up in Steam. Did you try that?

That's about all that I can suggest, since I've never tried to use a PS controller with this game.

Anyone else having issues with Steam Input no longer working as of this last update?

Make sure you Turn off steam input that'll cause that issue I've read a few times otherwise I've got no clue
