If you play it for the hack'n'slash its not bad.
If you play it for the story it is awesome.
If you play it for the boobs it is perfect.

nice game. an upgrade compared to witcher 1, but crashes a lot when above 2 saves, it keeps counting the amount of saves there were even after manually deleting them from saves folder, eventually it reaches the max amount of saves allowed (around 675) which prevents from making future saves, the only way to fix it was to play with quicksaves since it actually overwrites the old save instead of creating new ones

I will say that compared to the first game, 2 is a lot more fun. I found myself more interested in the story (cuz I got further before giving up), I liked the characters and the conversations just as much if not more, combat while dumbed down was a lot easier (aside from me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up early game and fighting monsters I shouldn't have fought without even having the specific silver swords or whatever needed to properly hurt monsters but thats my ♥♥♥♥ up), the general gameplay was easier and more fun which I assume is why I managed to get further then the first game. Either way, I still gave up, I feel like I'm not having that much fun so 10 hours is enough for me, just thinking of opening the game again to continue feels like a chore and its felt that way for a while now.

+the gameplay and the controls are improved compared to the first game. While the first game did have its own little charm, being a mix of third person and point and click adventure game it definitely wasn't "great" in here its a pure third person adventure game which I think is an improvement.
+The dialogues are still great, voice acting is great. Makes the story very fun to follow along.
+The graphics, the controls and everything is pretty good. The sounds are alright some stuff is nice and some stuff repeats itself way too often.
+To me, its essentially Fallout New Vegas. Simple inventory screen and mechanics, craft some ♥♥♥♥, battle some ♥♥♥♥, follow a fun story line, repeat till game ends. I was actually able to finish New Vegas, somehow, I don't know how but I could not bring myself to finish either the first Witcher game or this second one. I think if I tried Fallout nowadays I'd fail to finish it. Has my taste in gaming changed so much...?

-While the dialogues are better the characters themselves seem to have gotten a little worse in the face movements department. Their personalities, the voice actors themselves are still generally pretty good the dialogues are good but it feels like there's a disconnect between the voice actor and the movements of the character they're voicing. Its definitely a mixed thing though, some characters don't have this issue.
-Sometimes the game doesn't realize what you're trying to do. The amount of times I walked up to a door to open it, the game refused to let me open it and I had to walk away and walk back to the door is a lil silly. Applies to other things too sometimes I'm trying to turn off some light source to sneak and instead Geralt just opens a door that was near by. Happens often.
-The fighting has been dumbed down a lot. No more fighting techniques or anything just spam some ♥♥♥♥ and it'll work out. UNLESS you're using the wrong sword. Then spam all you want, you will suffer. I was playing on easy cuz I wanted an easy, story focused experience and wow the spam I had to do to deal with some monsters before I realized oh ♥♥♥♥ I don't have the specific monster-slaying-witcher-sword that I'm meant to have! ♥♥♥♥, I need to craft that ♥♥♥♥! Then it turned back into spam till everything dies.

Not bad by any means, really good even, I actually enjoyed my 10 hours. I just can't bring myself to play more knowing there's another 10 hours ahead and then another 10 after that. I've had my fill, I've enjoyed my time, I'll leave it as a good memory rather then torturing myself trying to finish it. So do I recommend it? Over Witcher 1? Absolutely. Over other RPG games? Depends on your tastes. This is definitely great considering it kept my attention for so long, I definitely like it but considering I didn't finish it... Not sure if that says more about the game or about me. Either way I believe that if you like RPG games, you'll like this too. I didn't hate it and thats a success in my book.
