Need help on Blood Handed and Rooted challenges

These two are the only normal challenges I have left but I just can't get through them.

For Blood Handed:
I went all the way to the Void Primordial with no problem as I managed to keep the corruption at 0 with anti-gears that reduce corruption per level. But at the moment the boss appeared, my corruption level suddenly skyrocketed and it ended up having a few hundred sx health, plus it bypassed protective field passive and one-shotted me.

For Rooted:
In this one it was just damage issue. I ran into Vampire Queen, spent a few minutes only to bring down like 1% of her health and I aborted the run since I don't want to spend an eternity on that. I found a video about this challenge, in which that person one-shotted bosses to their phase change just like in any normal run and it just didn't make sense to me.

I also searched in the forum for guides, found out that the answer to them is always Death's Scythe. I had it on every time yet it barely helped me in boss fights, so it made me wonder if this strategy is still doable in the current version.

The best gears I have now are Z tier. Are really good gears (like ZZZ ones) mandatory for these challenges? And what gear stats along with active/passive talents are considered good end-game builds? Is shredding still a viable strategy against bosses with tons of health?

i still can't manage to get the damn blood handed. i can't find at all, after dozens of runs, the corruption reducing modifiers. I'm starting to get irked because it's one of the last 3 i'm missing from the encyclopedia.

Rooted on the other hand, was so easy.

-Refund all 3 quality gains from the Soul Shop (tiers C, B, A. Search for the word quality.)

-Refund all Soul-Coin shop bonuses. (tiers F, E, D, A, S.)

-Don't wear gear that increases gear quality, nor soul-coin gain.

-0 corruption on the slider.

-Quick game off.

-F-tier Single Armed challenge.

-Leveling set to Manual.

-Set gear auto-dismantle ON. You don't want to be gaining a bunch of junk gear.

-First chest on the right to get boot, jump to chests, quit.

I copied the above from a guide on how to farm for anti-gears, hope this will help.
They are called anti-gears because most positive modifiers become negative, and most negative modifiers become positive.
The +corruption per player level is a negative modifier, but on anti-gears, it is reversed to -corruption per player level.

you saved my life. honest. I've been trying everything my dumb brain can come up with and i kid you not, nothing worked -- i had no idea how to get it. Kudos to you ^^
