For sounds, look inside 'Infested Planet\Data\sounds'

Textures are a different matter. They're inside 'Data/atlases' but they're not in a format that you can edit without custom tools. It's nothing super-secret, just plain RGB values, but it's not anything that a standard image editor would load.

Yeah I see what you mean about the textures. At first I thought they would open since they are RAW files but their of a different kind.
At least I can mod the sounds since SoundForge reads and edits OGG.
