Steam should count only 100% for DLCs you actually have :(
In my view there should be something like minimal formal standards for achievements, that prohibit achievements like "launching a program 500 times".
That is a good idea.
There should also be a prohibition to making achievements for completing a level normally.
But I do think the 10k pickups is a good achievement. I would like to see an achievement for completing levels faster than you did previously or the developer had.
-But launching the game 500 times? C'mon, what's FUN about that?!
Could use some pointers yeah. Still can't beat the first map x) 19 seconds isn't enough
It's not actually launching the game 500 times, it's just doing 500 of the speedrun maps. If you're practicing for the 'beat the developers time', you will get it soon enough.
-Valid point. But I remember when I studied game design, we touched upon achievements, and how they even came to the conclusion of "launch the game 500 times" confuses me. =/
Regarding target times for speed achievements, I tend to browse through the global leaderboard and check, what the latest time was a user was awarded the corresponding achievement.
I had a look at my stats concerning pick-ups. Currently I am somewhere around 400. So, I seriously wonder what the point of the 10k pick up achievement is. Are developers now creating achievements that are either impossible or pointless to get on purpose?
Could the developers please be so kind as to share with us what the point of creating such achievements is?
Speedway: 0:17 sec
Plans for Fans: 0:33 sec
Rotation Station: 0:43 sec
A New Hope: 0:44 sec
Neon Nightmare: 0:28 sec
Lost: 0:27 sec
Time Bomb: 0:55 sec
Ruin Rush: 0:56 sec
Hover Headaway: 0:33 sec
Space Race: 1:15 sec
The developers are continuously finding new ways to improve customer satisfaction :-(
44 from the 5 times I played it after the update, so I'm missing about 30 x 8 pickups (8 is how many you would always get during a proper speed run attempt).
I wouldn't want that to happen again when i'm at 9000+ pickups, so I think I'll put this game on ice until the developers are done "improving" it.
