Cutscenes Have Black Bars on 21:9 Aspect Ratio
I'm using a 3440x1440 monitor and although I've tried following the SoftTH guide on WSGF on the only post I can see on this game, I cannot seem to get rid of the black bars on the sides in the cutscenes. The post also suggested some potential issues with Win10, but I'm using Win11 so I can understand if its just not supported for Win11. I've also seen in the footnote within the README file that SoftTH used a "Smoothed Framerate" option, but I don't see anything like that to enable to get it working as it was shown in that same thread. Unless I'm reading too much into it and that SoftTH itself pushes Smoothed Framerate.

If anyone doesn't know what forum I was talking about, I have it listed below for reference. I understand this game is fairly old, but I would appreciate any help in getting this game running to take advantage of my monitor.

Hey Spider,

I don't think there is a official solution for this, simply as you said this is an older game. These were not designed for ultra-wide screens, sadly.
Just be careful when downloading 3rd party software of files from unofficial sources.

ubisoft launch a patch, so the ultrawide fix doesnt work alredy, i hope that someone can fix that

Yea i have a 34 UW screen myself and noticed it...but it dosen't matter as long as the gameplay is fully screened.
Theres probably a mod for it if you google it.

Dear Ubisoft!
48 achievements have been added to the game on Steam and Ubisoft Connect, but 10 of them cannot be obtained, as they are awarded for completing the Lost Archive DLC. It is not possible to purchase this DLC, as it has been removed from the Steam store.
There are two solutions to this problem:
1. Return the Lost Archive DLC to the Steam store for sale.
2. Remove the 10 achievements from this DLC.
List of achievements:

3.Enter the Animus
4.Meet your maker
5.The Loop
6.Find all Pieces
7.Breaking the Loop
8.Save yourself
9.Impress Warren Vidic
10.Cross Styx without dying
