Quite sadly, and still unfortunatetly, this purposedly inserting obsolescence pattern from Ubi$oft to screw over their older than 2-3 years old games is still occurring today as we speak (link to post with several factual evidences and/or examples).
Then take it to the Official Ubi$oft's "Support" site[www.ubisoft.com] and file a well substanciated report for such in there because if Ubi$oft is still selling broken things, no matter upon which platform it is happenning it still is their product, then it's assuredly their job to fix those and definitelly not the community's as it usually has occurred until now.
And yes, if you're getting the feeling that I'm no longer a fidelized customer/player of their games for several years now due to that sort of reasons amidst other scandals such as convicted Directors at Ubi$oft's HQ's in Normandy for sexual harassment[www.theverge.com], illegal data mining from Ubi$oft Connect (link to thread with several evidences inside) and so on sort of crap then you're quite nailling properly my current angle upon how Ubi$oft has stopped being a trustworthy company and for several years now.
