Need help with "birds" level [spoilers]
Enjoyed Toki Tori very much thus far (finally getting access to map travel was particularly nice), but.. I am horribly stuck at the "birds" level - you know, the level where there are a lot of birds carrying you to diffrerent maps (right after you learn the travel melody).

I've got a rough idea of what I am supposed to do - get down and make a hermit crab to cover the hole. But I have no idea how to get there and the birds keep taking me away - there are too many of them to avoid!

Help will be much appreciated :(

That place where the hermit crab is connects to a tunnel with an entrance on the right side. A single tenacious bird guards the entrance to that place. It's more like the middle of the map, but you'll know it because it is right before a cliff-like drop off with no floor at the bottom.

How do you get past a single bird? Sacrifice some other creature to it. There is a berry bug on the left side, and the bird in between will be happy to carry you both across.

Unfortunately, the only place where these is a berrybug on that level is where it doesn't help; I can get past one bird there, but I just fall into a hole I need a hermit crab to cover for me. And I can't seem to find a way to the hermit crab or water - everything is guarded by birds ~.~

You need to get to the hole from the right side. Just use the birds to take the berry from the far left to the right side and follow her. It will take 3 birds or so but it is actually pretty easy.

Thank you very much, finally got it done!

It indeed turned out to be kind of easy - after you told me what to do - but still annoying with having to move the berrybug though birds back and forth.

Anyway, thank you for your help again!!
