And, there are no "levels" in this game, as I see it. Devs?
Anything from when Toki lastly entered the "map"?
You can enter a "map" multiple times.
So does it get reset from the last entering, or the first, or any inbetween?
My initial question used the word "exactly ". Is that so hard to understand?
e.g. like:
1st time you entered without collect anything
2nd time you entered and collect 1 collectible
3rd time you entered without collect anything except that 1 collectible
Restart map result: Map without that 1 collectible you collected
It's the same effect as exiting and re-entering the area the same way you did before, except that you don't get to keep the collectibles you have collected, even if you activated a checkpoint.
Edit: forgot about every other permanent effect, like activating a beacon.
Now: the game does explain only so few things, I think I will refrain from using this option. Just to be sure. The devs overdid the "no handholding" thing in some aspects IMHO.
Reset level will reset the current area to the state it was in when you last entered the area.
You should not need this under normal circumstances. The preferred way of resetting stuff is:
1) Whistle the reset to checkpoint melody, note that this can be used multiple times in a row to go back to earlier checkpoints.
2) Leave the area and re-enter it
3) Whistle the pickup melody and re-enter the map at the nearest landing stone.
Clever game btw.!
