uninstalled steam, rebooted, installed steam, downloaded TT2, started TT2 : same error
edit: hardware specs:
Lenovo T400, with Switchable Graphics: Intel and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series
I dual boot into Ubuntu as well and its not running their either.
Graphics card is GeForce GTX 680
So far not been able to play any of the game. Through even through the crashing steam still registers it as being played so, idling until I get the badge drops and then going to delete it and leave a nasty review.
If you still experience the error, try so save the .mdmp file from the directory steam/steamapps/common/toki tori2/ this is a memory dump which should be made automatically when the game crashes. Also save all information from dxdiag.
I already received a ticketnumber from two tribes support. Maybe you can file your problems under this number. br xelo
I tried all of the above.
Obviously Visual C++.
Install all C++, from 2005 + sp1, from 2008 + sp1, from 2010 + sp1. Both 32bit and 64bit.
So it works one day, then the next day it doesn't? Did they change dependancies? Works fine in Linux, without all that crap installed.
