load save game
Is there a way to load save game, or is it meant to be beat in a single sitting ?
I'd like the option to load my game and continue where I left off from if I'm just doing the casual story mode

I can understand if the arcade mode had a beat in single sitting thing.

Also any chance to have online co-op, I'd love to play with friends that aren't local too

So should we delete the save after the Maiden Over? It only seems to take me to the end screen.

Yeah, this REALLY needs to be explained up front. Just bought the game, played for awhile, and decided I wanted to exit back to the title screen to browse the purchasable items and get a few things. I didn't see the exit to title screen option in the menu and I didn't see a way to do it from the map screen, so the next time I ran out of lives I just let the continue screen run out. And then after going through the shop, I spent at least ten minutes trying to get back into my save file and resume. And when I couldn't I came here. And found out that the save file is now cooked and over. There's ZERO warning about it working this way! I think it's a bad design to begin with but at the very least put a warning in somewhere so players don't get a nasty surprise.

I'm wondering about this. I won't make a new post on it. but I beat the first boss (Cop boss Miranda I think it was.) but I wanted to pick up later. and quitted out to title only to be met with "New game" instead of a continue message.. did I do something wrong?

So it turns out you aren't supposed to quit out that way as it counts as a game over, according to the dev.
This is why it requires a new game. I think an update that is more clear about these options could help
