Cheers..
Cheers..
He never said anything about the game being good/bad or if its P2W/Not, and people in this post seem to take a totally different opinion about the game without even playing it.
Jeez, this is free to play, if you want opinions about the game go try it yourself and stop making up stuff that op never talked about in the first place.
me: "So this is essentially pay to win is it? That's what I'm getting from this.."
me: "Ok.. This thread seemed to indicate otherwise.. I'll give it a shot then if that's not the case.. thanks for clearing that up..
Cheers.."
me: "So I have given it a shot, and I have to say I'm impressed.. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this game.. It's right up my alley, and yes I can clearly see now it's not pay to win..
Cheers.."
And then you say:
what?
As it stands now, you can slowly earn packs, much like almost any other collectible online card game. Just like back then, you can buy packs, but it's now an option, you youngin's get a choice.
(Pawns? Pay to win?)
I was actually referring to you and Phantus to be exact. You said "So this is essentially pay to win is it? That's what I'm getting from this.." Without anyone saying anything about it in the first place, so your comment was out of context and it was an assumption based on the fact that Op spent 3000 dollars in the game and didn't got his money back (which doesn't make sense at all).
I was also referring to Phantus because he said he wouldn't " invest in this type of game/company" because he had issues with steam not refunding him, when he doesn't need to spend any money to get runes or currency in the game.
He also doesn't actually know that the reason why the op didn't got the his 3000 dollars back was because of the merge between SOE and Desert Owls so he made an assumption that the same thing would happen to him if he spent money on this game (when the merge is actually complete).
You both simply came to the forum of this game to see what people think about the game and started making assumptions based on this post instead of playing the actual game and take all of your doubts fixed, even so that the game is free to play and is actually 330mbs of total space.
In his post he mentions investing 300 into the game.. This made me careful, to avoid an unnecessary account set up.. To alleviate suspicion, I asked a simple question to clear up a concearn created by the 300 dollar investmen statement.. "So this is essentially pay to win is it? That's what I'm getting from this.." Is what I said.. Note the question mark statement and then apply the correct Canadian intonation to the question.. Then apply the correct Canadian intonation to indicate the feeling I have, after reading about the 300 dollar investment, and apply it to the statement following the qustion.. Remeber, I am writing as though I'm haveing a casual conversation with some one, not a debate.. Also note that once I recieved a polite negative to my concearn, I then cheerfully thanked that person and replied that I would now proceed, and then committed.. I then took the time to post once again, after installing with confidence that I was not creating an unwanted account. "So I have given it a shot, and I have to say I'm impressed.. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this game.. It's right up my alley, and yes I can clearly see now it's not pay to win..
Cheers.."
Now read on in the replies and note the third post by the thread originator..
It states no its not pay to win..
They then make a forth post..
They say, "I would like everyone to keep in mind. While the whole of the game remains the same, the game was originally the purchasing of packs to even participate. You boughtt boosters, much like MtG. To participate, you HAD to pay. Then Octopi switched hands and got merged into SOE. Then the business mechanics were messed w/ and you could now earn packs, complete "missions", and etc. As it stands now, you can slowly earn packs, much like almost any other collectible online card game. Just like back then, you can buy packs, but it's now an option, you youngin's get a choice."
They don't seem to have a problem with the query, and indicated that, yes, at one time it was P2W, but not any more..
What's funny is you've made the asumption that the 3000 dollar figure mentioned is what made me ask my question on a public conversation forum.. You then applied the incorrect intonation, probably sarcastic, to my question based on your beliefe of a presumed, negative, eyeball rolling over reaction to a mention of 3000 dollars..
Here's the kicker..
The 3000 dollar statement does not indicate the investment to the game made by the poster, but rather the value of the 300 dollar investment if the poster were to of sold there investment on line.. So your pissey post is all for not, way out of line, and I still got the info I ws looking for and am enjoying life.. You on the other hand will probably choose to remain pissey.. Like a troll..
:)
