Count the days, thats easier. This Game IS time consuming and if you don't have that time, you will not succeed here. The Rune editing (or more the CP System) was nerfed already, if it gets nerfed again, there is no customisation anymore. And if you want good Runes, you should do your daily Quests and use the Rune Trader. With all that, you can get a decent amount of Runes in a fair time.
One of the greatest strengths of PoxNora, as compared to most TCGs is that every rune is still relevant, and you can easily mix the old with the new. Just taking a few minutes to read over your Battlegroup to see what each rune tries to do will make the learning experience rather easy, I find. I know that a lot of people share the same sentiment—that the game is too hard to learn—but that seems to be a new thing.
Back before the blessed Revamp, Champions had many, many abilities. Now, we have simplified templates, such as Tortun Shell, Sonic Flight, etc. Balance changes and reworks to races are steadily making new themes and improving on old ones. Once you get the gist of things, figuring out how it all works is second-nature.
God how I loved Ogre Batlle 64 when I was a child. I can appreciate the comparison to the series
