Leveling up a rune allows you to select different upgrade abilities to customize a champion. This change was done for balance reasons so a level 3 rune isn't better than a level 1. You just get more customization options.

No i mean when I leveled up my rune I wasn't able to select any upgrades, i worded that poorly at the end, I was asking what point it served to level up my runes since when i level it up to level 2 and then to level 3 i was not able to select an upgrade.

Each rune has 2 upgrade abilities. At level one they are both locked as a specific ability. When the rune reaches level 2 you should be able select one of three abilities for most runes. Then the at level 3 you unlock the ability to change the other upgrade ability. The upgrade abilities are the one's with the yellow arrow when you open a rune on the rune manager. You have to click on them to open up the drop down menu to select a different ability.

I am not able to do any of that and I have tried with five more runes, Skeleton Lord, Cleric of Unrest, Merdreth of Rot, Dracolich, and Xulos Undead Sage. None of them even after getting them up to level 3 have been able to select an ability for.

That is odd, there should be a dropdown for selecting the ability. You are in the rune manager not the Rune forge when you click on the rune that you want to change the upgrade abilities on, correct?

Have you tried going to PoxNora.com and accessing the rune manager from there and see if you have the same problem?

Yes I have tried to go through both sites. Neither has worked.....I was playing this back before it went to Desert Owl Gaming and do remember leveling up my other runes back then. Hence why I was wondering what the deal was and I guess it is just on my end.

upgrading doesnt work like the old old old days. On the rune card click on one of the abilities. if its an upgradeable ability then a pop up box will appear with the upgrade options in it. most of the time you have 3 'upgrades' to choose from but sometimes it can be less.

each champion has 2 of these 'upgradeable' abilities. you should be able to see the upgrade choices both in the rune manager and the rune forge.

correct (sort of), 'upgrading' simply means you have choices for that ability slot. some have different nora costs but all it shows you is the net nora change to the champ cost. you still need to earn cp on the champs before the upgrades 'unlock'. yes we all hate cp now.
