Crash on launching with mods

I've seen that the fix is generally to delete the runic games folder, turn off cloud backup and reinstall the game, and I have done those last two steps. As for the runic games folder, I cannot find this anywhere on my computer. It isn't in %appdata%, it isn't in documents, it isnt in programfiles x64, and it isn't in my cupboard or my piggy bank. Where the hell is this thing? I only have one mod installed, through the workshop.

Recently started for me too. Can't run the game at all. I get a fatal initialization error.

Did you try right-clicking on the game in your library and choosing "Manage", then "Browse Local Files"?

And yes, the Steam Cloud does not sync well with this game. It's best to turn it off and make your own backups of the Save and Modsave folders after every play session.

I found mine in C:\Users\(UserName)\Documents\my games\runic games

The "torchlight 2" folder is in there too, where your "save" and "modsave' folders are.

One way to easily find the location of the missing Mods Folder (and everything within the Runic Games Folder) is by pressing the button on the left side of the Mod Launcher screen that mentions the TL2 Mods Folder. It'll open the directory in another screen.

I have this problem and notice in launcher was message about failed steam API so i try go into steam offline mod and start the game - it works :D then just switch into steam online mod and start game again and game work without any problem :) Sorry for english :D
