Help me launch Torchlight II in 2025

I'm using Windows 11 and put the game into compatibility mode with Windows 8. When I hit the play button on the launcher, the game just doesn't launch. Anybody help me pls

I am running Windows 11 now and the game loads fine for me. Where you having issues loading the game before trying windows 8 compatibility?

Yeah 3 or 4 mods from the workshop.

maybe they conflict with each other, turn them off one by one to test wich ones do conflict, or disable them all.
edit: was thinking the guy with the problem did awnser, my question was for him.

I already set the Run compatibility to Windows 8 and the game just doesn't launch.

No, I don't use any mods. Just downloaded the game and it just doesn't launch after click the regular play button on the launcher.

One thing I remember is, I used to play this game before on my currently computer. After a few months passed with some Windows 11 updates and stuffs. I am no longer be able to run this game anymore.

try to verify the game files via steam, maybe some files got corrupted while downlaoding/installing.

Thanks a lot, It's working! I tried verify game files and I put all those compatibility off.

Time to get back and clear the good ol' game again while waiting for PoE2 screen frozen bug getting fixed

nice to hear that it works! if you are getting stutters while playing or low fps, try dxvk out. i had stutters and low fps while playing dxvk fixed it for me.
