(sorry i am so bad with files XD) edit edit never mind i figured it out! for anyone wondering you just got to go to your onedrive look up "realmofthemadgod" then move the file that apears to any other drive then delete it from one drive

deca is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mystery, trying to connect to a full server just takes you to your best server, it's almost as if QUEUES could be used in this scenario. Also I've had a few times where nexusing from the vault just took me to another server like what ??

also just make your own thread like this has nothing to do with the preparing update bug

Thank you for this! I was about to give up on this game forever, but this worked for me.

so this didn't really work for me for a bit, apparently when you take something out of OneDrive you have to delete it IN OneDrive too, or else it just copies the file into Downloads or wherever & if you don't it doesn't work, Thank You!!!

Type "RealmOfTheMadGod" in your computers search bar - it should find the right folder for you.

If it wont show up the path should be something like this:
C:>Users>*your account*>One Drive>Documents>RealmOfTheMadgod

Total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mystery, why does it use One Drive as a default folder, but it does. And because ROTMG don't really have rights for your One Drive - Microsoft don't like it and it gets stuck.

Thanks. Drug it out of the OneDrive folder and straight to my desktop and it worked perfectly afterwards.

Hey, i dragged it out of onedrive and put it on my desktop, still didn t help. I ve seen the onedrive problem to more games, like in Middle earth, had the game s .exe in a folder that i had on drive and it didn t run, as soon as i put it on desktop everything was fine. Anywaaay, on this one it doesn t work. Send help pls.

developers are not aware. To be aware, they would first have to know of steam's existence (it took them 5 years to acknowledge the game is on there)

I asked in the rotmg discord. They gave this solution which worked for me:
Stuck on "Preparing Update" Solution
Close the launcher
Open File Explorer and go to Documents/RealmOfTheMadGod
Rename the Production folder to something that is not "Testing" (e.g. "asdfgh")
Open the launcher and delete the Production folder once it shows up in File Explorer again (you may need to refresh)
Click on the top left gear and Remove Build
Hit Play, then Update.
