I'm playing through the main game and every time I fight aliens they are a chore to fight.

- Their heavy units are incredibly tanky I have no idea what weapon to use against them. Lasers and kinetic barely seem to do anything against them as ED and plasma doesn't seem to do much against them as LC either

- Just when you think you have it undercontrol with chem armour, they drop in another heavy unit that deals kinetic damage that just kills your units. Again, ignores shields.

- Their artillery deal a lot of damage and can't be intercepted with Anti-missile countermeasures or shields

- Their anti-aircraft units deal stupid amounts of damage against aircraft, even with chem armour and shields.

- Trying to get rid of them is like playing whack-a-mole because of their unique spawning mechanics. All it takes it just one straggler and they vomit out a horde of units and structures.

Any tips on how to beat them as LC? I managed to cheese the final mission with Faulkner during the last ED mission, but that LC mission where you come out of the bunker is real annoying, especially when they don't give you many crystals to work with and the LC resource collection is rubbish.
