Its better than squad in my opinion. The base game is meh, but with mods the game is absolutely amazing. I played a lot of squad but gave up after they sold out to tencent and this game definitely scratches that itch and more. The radio situation is a bit different, everyone gets a radio, but with the radio antenna system, not everyone can hear everyone else unless radios have been built in that specific sector. Every team has squad leaders with their own specific frequency, you can chat with your squad or you can switch to platoon chat and talk to everyone. This is great in some aspects, but can get quite annoying with the young'ns on console start talking about stupid ish or trash talking and overall being annoying. Luckily they can be muted easily.

This game is definitely worth it in my opinion, i was a huge Arma 3 player so i bought this when it first came out. I wasnt too thrilled at first, but over these past few years the modding community has really stepped up their game and created quite an amazing experience. If you do buy it, check out Rubber Band Rangers, they save ranks and wipe three times a week. Normal games wipe rank after each match which gets quite annoying cause all the fun toys like attack choppers and tanks are only available to higher ranks. Good luck
