Exploration?
I've heard a lot of good things about the game, but I haven't heard much in terms of exploration. In open world games, my biggest draw is usually the sense of discovery. If I wander off into the forest, off the beaten path, will I find something interesting? If I stand at the top of a hill, will I see some points of interest that will be rewarding? I love the immersive look and feel that it seems to have, so I'm hoping that exploration is also a big part of it.

theres is a plenty things to discover, u can forgot about main story for 60h at first map if u want, and probly next 60h at second map
There is a lot of hidden locales on the map that you won't find if you not exploring as it won't be labelled on the world map.

I presently have 40 hours game time and still haven't started the first main quest (wedding) and still have lot of side quests in queue.
KCD1 is better for exploration but this game isn't bad at it either. If you want that feeling, you will find it in both games.
there are little easter eggs all over,,,,,,,,,,,,,,abandoned camps with gear..............graves with gear
dead bodies with gear.................abandoned shack with gear.......................

This, my first playthrough took me 300H, and still have bits unexplored.
There is one perk I would have to look up you may not want to get. It reveals the entire map.
You'll find boat loads of cool things off in the woods. Lots of woods too and they're thicc so these little POI's can be easily missed. I do find they've structured the world in such a way that you naturally find these locations without them being too obvious.

Some of my favorite spots where old overgrown ruins with basically nothing in them but a couple of potions or a few coins. I enjoyed the herb picking so I often found myself wondering around the woods and stumbling across random spots.
