Zigzaging convoys would be nice
Compared to the beginning of the game's basic framework, the convoy movements have significantly improved. In fact, it would now be possible to avoid ships getting stuck.

"Zig-zagging confounded the enemy’s efforts to track a convoy’s route, speed, range, and position. Submarine captains couldn’t be sure how to position their boats to fire their torpedoes with effect. Sailing with their British allies, US ships adopted the practice, which continued through World War II."

But it would have some disadvantages for both campaigns.

If they would zigzaging IG they would loose minimum 1/4-1/5 speed towards their destination in a UK campaign.
It takes IG around 6-8 IG weeks that a convoy loads/unload/loads from the Eastcoast to England and back.
And for a German campaign it would be more difficult too track them again after loosing first contact.

Actually, the AI convoys should be more numerous but smaller, like in other submarine games, so that one could find them more often as a player in a german campaign.

Although the Atlantic is not as large as the Pacific, finding about 20 convoys without knowing their routes can be frustrating in the game. And when you have sunk several completely in a short time, it becomes even harder to find the remaining groups.
