I think people underestimate as you get used to these types of games, they become easier overall no matter which it is. The solution is not to up the difficulty everytime. Because you get at a difficulty that if you just want to please the vets, you'll barely make any sales.
For sure it's definitely on the easier side.
It's inherently easy with the guard system. Try to parry in any DS game and it's beyond impossible. Try to perfect guard in Lies of P and it's impossible not to perfect guard almost everything in the game. So them making it easier is just tip top comedy. Game is amazing and I absolutely love the lore and gameplay but, it's just extremely easy.
They should return "Elite Stalker" back to the release difficulty.
The Dlc was apparently overtuned in NG+, I cannot speak on that. They changed that before I could get there.
Other than the Gator, they've all been easy bosses, cool but, easy. Only 1 left.(to my knowledge)
I dare ya. I double dog dare ya.
DLC can now be accessed a full 4 chapters earlier. NG+ and onwards the enemies have been rebalanced and reduced damage output as well as their HP levels. Probably a couple hundred news reports about the nerfs and the reduction in difficulty as well as a description of a good portion of the playerbase demanding the game be made easier.
But you can negate almost all damage with perfect guard and the perfect guard system is by far the easiest type of 'parry' system in the souls-like universe. Personally, I've put in maybe 1000 hours in all 3 Dark Souls and have never parried a boss and maybe parried 3 enemies total, but in Lies of P its almost impossible not to perfect guard everything.
Edit: Also they added in a difficulty option.
You also only brought up... the DLC and NG+. And somehow that equals all of LoP being the easiest game ever now?
Sekiro's was easier, but regardless, "it's almost impossible not to perfect guard" is so completely and totally false it's shocking. Setting aside the timing requirement for a second, you know there's grabs in this game, right?
This entire thing is cringe rofl, im out can't debate with dumb.
... Compared to having iframe dodge that has more lenient timing than the perfect parry in Lies of P and that allows you to iframe through EVERYTHING? Brother what
Following your logic, Dark Souls should be easier because the iframes dodge gets are miles more lenient than the perfect parry window.
Hell following that logic Dark Souls 2 by default is the hardest one because it's dodge iframe base line is much tighter until you invest in a stat lol.
The roll was easy in Ds2, the stat was just a crutch to make the gap bigger.
Just to add onto this, there is no chip damage by default in Sekiro unless you choose to give up Kuro's charm.
In Lies of P, it's there by default.
