First, I hope I understand your issue correctly
then, I will not talk specifically for that very job, as I don't recall the requirements

On this screen you can see that this beer offers you 5 possible matches right ?
Now when you are designing your beer's presentation (bottle, glass, label design etc)
(caps for emphasis not shouting) DON'T FORGET to set the correct beer style manually to complete your task.
The game will automatically choose the highest match, so while your Rye IPA is amongst the possible matches, it may not be the highest match, and I guess Strong IPA is the highest match.

Now if a job was asking for a strong bitter, this beer (on my example screenshot) would be a possible match as far as beer style goes, but the game will not select that, and instead will pick it as an Irish Extra Stout.
So set it manually to the correct beer style when you are packaging your beer. Now fear not, you can always take again your beer keg, and go again at the tasting place and change that beer style anytime you want / need
