Have you tried verifying the game's integrity through properties to see if it installed correctly? It might also be possible your antivirus might be preventing it from launching, in which case you'd have to add it to your antivirus' exceptions list. You could also try setting it up in compatibility mode for windows 8 or windows 7/etc. That sometimes works for me if a game gives me issues when trying to play it.
