Good question! According to court documents, the company was dissolved and all its assets sold to pay off debts.
But I believe that Steam imposes rules in its contracts if a company goes bankrupt, such as: if the amounts generated by sales are not claimed after x days (months/years), they become de facto property of Steam, which wouldn't surprise me at all ... I personally warned them that the company was bankrupt (by sending them proof of court decisions) and nothing ... the game is still on sale even though it's been totally unplayable for over 2 years.
