If it's a free shape building, that's not possible atm. All you can do is to load your latest save game.

I found out to solve this problem, cut your building in half ( when it's a free shape building ), it will cost some clay and time, but after you have two new buildings that you can destroy.
Also with a hughe building standing in the way, cut it in half, for the resourses you get seems capped (around 401 wood, 401 steel, 1200 brics), you will get it two times after or even more if you cut it in half again and again etc.

Good to know, in my map I have a huge building I want get rid of for it's strange shape, but seeing the amount of resources given from dismantle a building is capped, I'll cut that to half as many times as needed until it's lower than 1,200 bricks, then I'll begin dismantle it in due time.

Sometimes the cause for a "no path" is not the destination.
