A few technical questions
1. will it work well on Steamdeck (it is a must for me nowadays, I mostly only play on deck)
2. will it work with remoteplay (I have got in the habit of streaming my games to my TV so I can have a bigger screen than the deck's)

You can try DLSS modes up to 4 (that one being "ultra quality" or something like that, which doesn't seem to do resolution scaling).

Based on code the modes are (from zero to 4): performance, balance, quality, ultra performance, ultra quality. For me, the balance mode draws black screen, though with very good performance. Ultra quality has about same performance as no DLSS at all. Every other mode has better performance, so it seems to be doing something. I'm so bad at spotting graphics issues that it's useless to try to ask me any more details :D .

How to do that? In options.txt there is no DLSS entry. Can you post the needed line, please?

Hi,

The needed line should be setOption(rendererModule, "DlssMode", -1) where -1 is DLSS disabled and 0-4 as JLarja described.

And holy cow, is it an ancient version of DLSS: 2.3.1.0. Before you finish the implementation, could you update it to something more recent?

There's an openvr_x64.dll, too. Would be very interesting to know if there's a native 3D-cinema mode built in.
I've never played something more beautiful as Trine & Trine 2 in 3D Vision.

There isn't, unfortunately. DLL is left behind from old renderer and because we haven't removed the input support for VR controllers.

Hey guys, back here after a year. Now that it's confirmed the game is fully patched and content complete.

I must say it's strange you got fully functional DLSS for the game but it's not exposed in-game. Followed the advice above, used Nitec's Optiscaler mod and now I can even mod in FSR 3.1 or XeSS.

Playing with XeSS myself on 7900 XTX. The game is SO MUCH more defined and stable.

I run some tests with this.
The colors with DLSS are seemingly different as it uses a slightly different gamma.

Ah, game development. The correct answer is that DLSS is supported... and it isn't. Fun. :)

In non-cryptic words, we have DLSS support in the game engine. It's not enabled in the release version of Trine 5. Whether or not this is on purpose is the big question. We'll look into the issue next week and see if we should enable DLSS for users as well.

We should have some version of FSR implemented as well so we'll look into that too.

Hi, I am able to use DLSS with lvl "0" which is 50% of the resolution. When I try other numbers, the game starts but everything is black. Any idea how to make it work with "4" or even DLAA?

Optiscaler works even better with FSR4 for AMD GPUs today.
