Lock Picking
It is really hard to complete the lockpick during the riot when the game is running on low framerate.

This minigame will be little altered in full game to be easier.

Sounds good. I couldn't get past it in the current form and had to quit after 10 minutes or so.

Please allow me to elaborate on the subject; software developers should be very aware, that if they include game elements, that require a combination of these elements:
a) fast reflexes
b) good hand/eye coordination
c) pixel-perfect positioning
They will exclude a lot of potential customers from playing their games. Some of them will never buy the games, because they have been warned in advance through reviews and forum posts, but some unlucky souls will buy the games, start playing and get past the 2-hour refund mark BEFORE hitting the wall consisting of the above element requirements. These people will not be able to get a refund, but will not be able to continue the game either, leaving just one option: quit, uninstall the game and live with the loss.

Needless to say, such customers will be hesitant about future products from the software house in question, which is an extremely unfortunate situation for all parties.

There are some game types, where the elements mentioned are natural and to be expected, like platform games and some types of racing games. Players who don't feel they have the required abilities will know well in advance and simply skip such releases...

But there are also some game types where you do not expect such elements... like cooking, management, car repair or prison management - sometimes one of the elements is to be expected, like in this case precision for lockpicking, but the problem occurs, when software developers decide to add the other elements to the challenge, even if these other elements would not play a role in the same situation in real life - in this case, lockpicking in real life does not require you to stop a fast moving cursor at an exact position or fail the task.

In CMS21 from the same software house, you have the mini game where you balance wheels. This requires accurate positioning, but without a fast moving cursor. But in the same game, you also have the scrap-, and repair mini-games, which DO involve that fast moving cursor, making them unplayable for many... see the point?

When constructing game elements, please consider carefully if they make sense in real life or if they just make relatively simple and mundane tasks much too complex and difficult - like in Cooking Simulator, where placing a food item on a plate has been turned into a complex operation with a high risk of failure. I mean, in real life, it's not common to constantly drop food items on the floor instead of a plate, is it?
